DSLA Studio is a painting practice focused on revealing what exists beneath the surface of everyday life. Through hyper-saturated, large-scale depictions of ordinary objects, the work transforms the familiar into something psychologically charged—inviting reflection rather than passive observation.

Each piece operates through a three-layer visual language: surface, shadow, and depth. The surface reflects outward experience, the shadow suggests the hidden self, and the depth holds a sense of stillness and truth. Often divided by a subtle waterline, these layers create tension between appearance and reality.

The objects themselves are treated with reverence and scale, becoming vessels for themes of identity, mental health, authenticity, and connection. What appears simple begins to feel quietly significant—familiar, but slightly unsettled.

Rather than offering fixed meaning, the work functions as a mirror. Interpretation is shaped by the viewer, creating an experience that is both personal and shared.
